Q: Is my dues payment tax-deductible?

A: Yes. The League is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Annual dues and any additional donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. EIN #23-7071242. You will receive a payment confirmation for your records.

Q: What is the difference between Family and Associate membership?

A: Family membership is for close relatives of Americans listed as POW, MIA, KIA/BNR, or those returned Vietnam War POWs. Only family members hold voting rights in League elections. Associate membership is open to veterans, concerned citizens, and others who support the mission but do not qualify as Family members.

Q: When does my membership expire?

A: Memberships run on a calendar-year basis. Renewal notices are sent annually. If you are unsure of your membership status, email us or contact the national office at 240-342-9699.

Q: Can I pay by check or money order instead of online?

A: Yes. Use the “Download Mail-In Form” link in the above panel, print and complete the form, and mail it with your check or money order payable to National League of POW/MIA Families to our Arlington, VA office. Cash is also accepted.

Q: I have questions about a missing and unaccounted-for family member. Can the League help?
