Founded 1970 · Our Mandate
THE FULLEST
POSSIBLE ACCOUNTING
Founded by the families themselves in 1970, the League has served for more than five decades as the primary non-governmental voice for a full and honest accounting of every American still unaccounted-for from the Vietnam War. We inform policymakers, preserve the historical record, and ensure families are never left without representation.
Accountability
Advocating for the fullest possible accounting as a government obligation and national priority
Families
Standing with those who have waited decades for answers, dignity, and the recognition their loved ones deserve.
History
Preserving and conveying the full historical record of the POW/MIA issue with accuracy and without political distortion.
Education
Informing the public, institutions, and elected officials — because those who carry a duty to act must first understand the record.
